Care Packages

Today I am grateful for Mark’s care packages.

I’ve spent the evening around at his place enjoying a fabulous home cooked roast lamb dinner with all the trimmings. Not only to be enjoyed tonight though. He packed up all the leftovers into three complete meal take home packs that we fondly call ‘care packages’.

Lunch tomorrow is going to be fabulous!!

Thanks Mark – you are a great cook, wonderful company, and an exceptionally generous man.

Relax Mode

Today I am grateful for spending the day in relax mode. It was totally indulgent from the back to back episodes of Glee with my girlfriend, to the Apple Pie Macaron I had with my cup of tea this afternoon.

My favourite kind of day ❤

Bed Picnics

Today I am grateful for bed picnics because that’s how we’ve spent our Friday night together. We made a great big share platter of yummy antipasto for dinner; it was so good! Triple cream Brie, rosemary & sea salt crackers, stuffed baby bell peppers, kalamata olives in balsamic, semi-sundried tomatoes and feta, creamy roasted capsicum dip, Jarlsberg cheese slices, and smoked leg ham. Yum!

In the middle of winter, when it’s reached a maximum temperature of only 11 degrees centigrade all day, there’s no better time to have a bed picnic with a movie. The rain was beating down outside but the house was toasty warm. The food was delish, and the movie (Contagion) was great, but best of all was spending my Friday evening with my little family; just me and my girl and our two furkids (Missy & Madison).

Frozen Pizza

Today I am grateful for frozen pizza. Neither one of us felt like cooking or going out so it was a case of Dr O to the rescue.

*A ‘Dr O’ is the affectionate name bestowed upon a pepperoni pizza by Dr Oetker in our house, and it has a perfect crispy base pizza.
