Today I am grateful for my piano, and for the music that comes out of it. The day it became mine was a complete surprise; it was an unexpected 30th birthday gift from my then husband. He really did know me well, and I have no idea how he kept it a secret all those months leading up to the day!
Playing the piano is such a creative outlet of self expression for me: it’s somewhere I can feel out loud. I don’t play especially well, but I really do love how it makes me feel inside. Making music creates this place of calm and peace within me that I don’t seem to be able to access any other way.
Hmmmm … No, that’s not quite true – sometimes I can get there when I’m cooking 😀
